Tai Chi Chuan or Tàijíquán is an internal martial art where the training focuses on deepening the practitioner’s awareness of their body, and from this awareness gain control over their movement and that of others.
The awareness moves into all areas of life helping to create both a strong and stable body and mind it is at this point, the real benefits of the practice can begin, and the martial skills are developed.
At HME Edinburgh, we focus on developing this through a structured syllabus including Standing Practice, Qigong, Hand Form, Partner Exercises leading to Martial Application.
