After a background studying external martial arts from, my interest in meditation and Daoist philosophy brought me in to contact with the internal styles in the 1990s.
Initially extremely sceptical, my doubts were soon removed when I experienced first hand the martial side and realised that my understanding of the body’s mechanics was rudimentary.
Tai Chi became a core practice to support me on a personal level by improving my awareness of my body improving my physical balance, recognising the signs of overload and releasing the tension that is part of everyday life with neurodiversity.
It was late in this journey that I met Adam Mizner and found a structured and gradual approach to understanding Tai Chi as it is outlined in the classics.
